GRAFIP

The Graphene Interplatforms Group

The Graphene Interplatforms Group (GRAFIP), created in February of 2016 in the framework of the ForoTransfiere in Málaga and coordinated by MATERPLAT, has as main goal the promotion of R&D and industrial activities around graphene, involving all the stakeholders such as R&D agents, Technological Platforms, companies, facilitators and market agentes, being supported at all times by the Public Administrations. Additionally, an important role is planned within GRAFIP in order to promote internationally, activities related to graphene promoted by spanish consortia.

Given the fact that there are other national initiatives working around graphene apart from GRAFIP, the Interplatform Group will provide support (with the tools of the Technological Platform MATERPLAT and the ones belonging to the other Technological Platforms that form GRAFIP) to the following national initiatives related to graphene:

  • Talks and dissemination workshops about the use of graphene and its potential applications in the industry (activity led by CSIC-Mar García Hernández).
  • Creativity workshops (activity led by MATERFAD). A total number of five thematic workshops have been celebrated between 2016 and 2017 with the goal of fostering the development of R&D projects in different sectors.
  • Estandardization. Code of Good Practices for the characterization and labelling of graphene (activity undertaken by the Excellence Network GrapheNET and the Spanish Graphene Alliance).
  • Cluster Eureka Grafeno (activity coordinated by the Fundación Phantoms in the framework of the Spanish presidency of Eureka, led by CDTI).

One of the main objectives of GRAFIP is the development of a catalogue of products / technologies that incorporate graphene, and are either on the market or in an advanced development phase (TRL ≥ 4: Validation of the technology in a laboratory environment).

A first edition of the catalog that includes 27 technologies / products (of which 20 are in the development phase and 7 are already on the market) can be downloaded here:
