September 25 and 27 in Darmstadt, Germany

The objective of this symposium is to (i) review the modes in which interactions take place when materials are exposed to different types of lasers and plasmas, including their simulation and modeling (ii) overview and present novel interaction phenomena and processing methodologies, (iii) determine how these methods affect the surface properties and the new functionalities achieved and (iv) account for developed and envisioned applications.

Contributions are solicited within the context of these or related objectives, in order to put together a Symposium programme based on critical discussions that will help to advance in the know-how, and promote the development of new processing tendencies based on the interaction between laser and plasmas with materials.
