The LIVIM 2011 Workshop – Living Imaging (Imaging and its applications in medicine
and life sciences) organized by Rhenaphotonics Alsace, the optics and photonics cluster will take place on December 1-2, 2011 in IRCAD (Research Institute against Digestive Cancer, Strasbourg.

The workshop aims to find solutions that meet the needs of doctors to help them in their medical practice. Medical practitioners will present their topics by specifying lacks and efficiency improvement solutions.

The doctors’ requests tackle various scientific fields, such as specific medical devices and their miniaturization, image acquisition, retrieval and processing, virtual and augmented reality, light sources (lasers, LEDs, etc) and more.
